At first I got caught up in all the streaks and progress bars, but after a few days it started to feel like the app was pushing me more than I was pushing myself. The trick, at least for me, was not letting the app take over everything. I turned off most of the alerts and only checked it in the morning and before bed. That alone made it a lot easier to handle because it wasn’t buzzing at me all day. I also made sure to combine it with a simple offline habit, like writing down the top thing I wanted to accomplish in a notebook. Doing that meant I wasn’t relying completely on my phone, and it gave me a balance. I found a Liven app review that said pretty much the same thing, pointing out that people can burn out if they try to do everything the app suggests. What helped me stick with it was focusing on two or three small goals max, not loading up ten habits at once. When I used it that way, it actually felt like a helper, not a chore. If you’re expecting it to transform your life overnight, you’ll be disappointed, but if you treat it as a support system, it can make a difference over time.
